Jesus has called students to be His witnesses right where they are. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, students can share the hope of Jesus with their friends, classmates, and communities.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses.” — Acts 1:8 (NLT)
Availability over ability. Students don’t need to have all the answers or be naturally outgoing. As they make themselves available to the Holy Spirit and take steps of obedience, He gives them courage to pray, care, and share Jesus.
Why the local church matters
Youth Alive helps churches equip and send students to share Jesus beyond the church walls. Students pray for friends, initiate Gospel conversations, and take responsibility for sharing Jesus in everyday life. Their churches disciple, encourage, and support them, while Youth Alive provides student equipping, resources, and practical guidance.
We serve churches across New York through multi-denominational and multi-church relationships. Churches can work together to support students at a shared school while continuing to disciple and send their own students.

Growing as Disciples on Mission
As students respond to the Holy Spirit and obey Jesus in everyday life, they grow in faith, courage, and care for others. Sharing the Gospel is part of that growth—not a reward for having everything figured out.
We support youth pastors and youth leaders as they cultivate missional discipleship in their ministries, helping them equip, send, and encourage students. As students grow in faith and obedience, some also take responsibility for serving and leading others. Leadership develops through discipleship and mission; it is not a requirement for every Campus Missionary.

Our Ministry Home
Youth Alive New York serves through the Assemblies of God New York Ministry Network. Nationally, Youth Alive is a ministry of Assemblies of God Youth Ministries, facilitated through Assemblies of God U.S. Missions. While rooted in the Assemblies of God, we work with churches across denominations to help students share Jesus in their schools and communities.
